Do you know why facades turn green?

IS YOUR HOUSE PLAGUED BY ALGAE AND MOULD ON THE FACADE?

Most of the façades that were insulated more than ten years ago are in a state where they are cracked and cracked.
Algae and mould appear on the façade for several reasons. It is a combination of several factors that are very
often repeated. This is mainly due to the fact that insulated facades are cold on the surface, insufficiently hydrophobic and have
plaster structure 1.5mm. Add to this poorly executed plumbing elements and the surrounding bio
zone, there is a high probability that the façade of your insulated house will succumb to algae and mould.
Climate change will make the situation even worse.

DANGER TO YOUR HEALTH

Risks of inhalation of spores (mould reproductive particles that are released into the air as they grow) can
cause allergic diseases.
Microscopic filamentous fungi – moulds can occasionally cause some other allergic
diseases. The occurrence of health problems always depends on the immunological state of the human organism
and a dose of fibrous mushrooms.
Children and the elderly are among the groups at risk.

WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT?

Even a heavily soiled facade can be cleaned. For facades that are already insulated and gradually
we have the following recommendations.

1. It is recommended to have a microbiological analysis with technical assessment
and a proposed solution.
2. It is not enough to just wash the facade and leave it without surface treatment.
it will turn green again in 2-3 years.
3. Avoid cheap solutions.
4. Maintain extremely stressed and creased parts of the façade.
